DR. YUGANDRIE MAHARAJ is a South African attorney who has obtained the highest law designation that is only earned by less than 1% of attorneys in the nation, in a white male-dominated profession. She also holds the right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa and a specialist qualification in property law. She has been practicing law for 21 years with experience in commercial and civil litigation, contracts, and International Business law.
In addition to her professional work, Yugandrie is a passionate humanitarian, and a dynamic transformational speaker, with a global reach.
Her journey to success began when she stepped into the leadership role as a 13-year human rights activist fighting against the South African apartheid regime. She was one of three people who managed the 1994 First Historic election in her providence, where she worked closely with Nelson Mandela who nominated her for the 1996 election in her city.
As a businesswoman, who established her own private practice, Yugandrie’s personal mission is to empower other women business owners with the tools and strategies to expand their businesses at the international level.
She holds a BA (LAW) and LLB degree from the University of Durban-Westville, now The University of KwaZulu-Natal.
She is a South African Legal Practice Council member, and Executive Director of “Saree for Change”- a women empowerment organization that creates employment opportunities for rural and urban women in South Africa. Former Apex trustee of the International Association of Human Values, whose headquarters are based in Geneva, Switzerland with a presence in 160 countries.
Yugandrie was conferred the designation of Apostleship by the International Pentecostal Association. has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Trinity International University of Ambassadors, in Duluth, GA., Internationally certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach, and A global ambassador for the Women of Wealth Magazine, she won a Presidential Award of Service from the President of The United States. The South African Sunday Tribune Newspaper honored her as a South African Hero.
Yugandrie lives in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa with her husband and two daughters who both have successful careers in legal professions.
