How To Start A Nonprofit Organization From A-Z

Learn the basic requirements to become an official tax exempt nonprofit organization in any State. Through this interactive course, students will access the needed websites, download forms required and fill out the paperwork as you go. Your Instructor will provide step by step instructions to walk students through the entire process.

Starting a nonprofit organization may seem overwhelming but the paperwork is just part of what is required to start a successful nonprofit. In this course you will save $1000’s of dollars worth of consultant fees and learn to process the paperwork yourself. How to incorporate in any State (a step-by-step process) How to complete the IRS - Form 1023-EZ and many other resources and information to sustain your organization.

By the end of this course you will have learned:

Understand the fundamental basics of a nonprofit.
Develop your business plan outline for the nonprofit.
Incorporate with the State of Any State.
Learn the new IRS application process and form to apply to become a 501c3 tax exempt organization.
Stay incorporated and remain a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization.

Course Syllabus:

1. Understand the fundamental basics of a nonprofit.

2. Develop your business plan outline for the nonprofit.

3. Applying for Nonprofit Certification in your State.

4. Learn the new IRS application Form 1023-EZ process and form to apply to become a 501c3 tax exempt organization.

5. Stay incorporated and remain a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization.

She brings a legacy of community outreach and engagement experience in multiple jurisdictions. Has extensive background in training and hands-on experiences from a legacy of volunteerism and community service in both the faith-based and nonprofit community. Helped coordinate and facilitate public-private partnerships in affordable housing, small business development and workforce.

Collin Community College Instructor for 7 years which she developed the syllabus and curriculum for the Nonprofit Management Certification Series.

Helped to establish more than 150 start-up nonprofit organizations, guiding them through their initial set-up and launch. She brings extensive community mobilization skills, grant writing and administration experience. Has over 25 years in nonprofit management and assisted hundreds of nonprofit organizations and Churches with technical assistance in order to earn their IRS 501(c)(3) certification.
