Having your WOSB certification is a great start to positioning your company for contracts that are only open to women owned businesses in which you must owned 51% of your company.
It is a mission of the federal government to provide opportunities for contract awards in industries where women business owners are underrepresented. This in turn helps level the playing field for those businesses who may not have a chance because of their size and social economic status to bid and win government contracts.
With a WOSB certification, your company is deemed a viable organization in which allows your company to compete for set aside type contracts from governmental agencies. As you grow and scale your business with government contracts, it is important that you understand how being certified can differentiate your company from the rest.
You will also understand how to write your capability statement narrative to market your business to governmental agencies for potential prime and subcontractor opportunities.
